About Dr. Shreck

Dr. Michael Shreck

Dr. Michael Shreck grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1984. Dr. Shreck then completed a two-year General Practice Residency Program at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. He received his Postdoctoral Certificate in Periodontics from Columbia University in 1988.

Dr. Shreck has been in his private practice, Lake Success Periodontics and Implants P.C., in New Hyde Park since 1997. He is the founder and chairman of the Lake Success Study Club. He is very involved in organized dentistry and is currently on the Board of Trustees of the American Dental Political Action Committee. He was also a Trustee to the New York State Dental Association. He is currently on the Board of Directors and an Executive member of the Nassau County Dental Society, where he served as President. He is also on the Board of Trustees of the New York State Dental Foundation.

Dr. Shreck is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, and the Academy of Osseointegration. He is a

fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Society, the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. In addition, he holds a position as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Dental Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Dr. Shreck was the founder and current Co-Chair of Nassau County’s Give Kids A Smile Program. Since 2003, the program has helped treat and educate over 18,000 underserved children in the county. In 2014, he was the second recipient of the American Dental Association Foundation’s prestigious Jeffrey Dalin, DDS Give Kids A Smile Volunteer Award for his outstanding achievements.

Dr. Shreck lives in Lido Beach with his wife, Jennifer. He has three daughters, Danielle, Samantha and Jessica. He is on the Board of Trustees of Lido Beach Synagogue. He is also active in the Long Beach Lions Club and received the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellow Award from the Lions Clubs International Foundation. He enjoys reading, running, traveling, playing tennis and cycling.
